Wherever You Are, God Is
Even Here.
Dearest Light,
Finding God in everything is one of the tasks of a believer.
Not because life is always kind or predictable, but because God is not confined to moments that feel holy or put together. He is present in the ordinary, the confusing, the waiting, and even the seasons we don’t quite understand.
When you begin to look for God in everything, life becomes simpler. Not necessarily easier, but lighter. You stop carrying the weight of having to make sense of everything alone. You stop asking, “Where is God?” and begin asking, “How is God here?” And somehow, gratitude starts to grow from that place. You become more conscious that you are not alone.
Psalm 139: 7-10 captures this truth beautifully:
[7]Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your presence?
[8]If I ascend up into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol (the place of the dead), behold, You are there.
[9]If I take the wings of the morning or dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
[10]Even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.
There is nowhere we go that God has not already reached. Not the highs we celebrate. Not the lows we hide. Not the places we wish we weren’t. Even there, His hand still leads. Even there, He still holds.
That’s why, in every phase of my life, I’ve learned to look for God.
Not because I always feel strong or faithful, but because looking for Him keeps me grounded. When things are clear, I look for Him. When things are messy, I look anyway. When I don’t understand what’s happening, I remind myself that His presence doesn’t disappear just because my clarity does.
But finding God everywhere also asks something else of us: honesty.
Psalm 139 ends with a deep prayer:
[23]Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!
[24]And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
This is the prayer that invites God inward. To our intentions, our fears, our hidden motives, our circumstances. It’s a willingness to be known, corrected, and refined. Because faith is not only about seeing God around us, but also about allowing Him to see us fully.
So maybe 2026 doesn’t begin with doing more or having all the answers. Maybe it begins with paying attention. With noticing God in peaceful moments and unresolved questions alike. With learning to recognise small mercies. With letting gratitude grow where awareness lives.
And trusting that even here—wherever “here” is right now—God is present, leading, and holding you. Always.
In all things, God is good and His mercies endure forever.
Happy New Year, Light. I love you, I pray for you, and I’m rooting for you.

Happy New Year, Simi Light.
